On Saturday, November 1, as the federal shutdown strained services and delayed vital support for many households, We Our Us showed up for the Whitelock community. Volunteers lined tables with groceries, packed boxes, and moved a steady stream of neighbors through with dignity and speed. In a week when uncertainty was high and resources were tight, this giveaway filled fridges, eased stress, and reminded families they weren’t alone.

We Our Us
📍 Park Heights

On a Monday night, over 30 strong men walked the streets of Park Heights—shoulder to shoulder, neighbor to neighbor.

We showed up with more than words:
🛑 Stopping the beef
🧠 Life coaching and mentorship
🥗 Healthy food distribution
📚 Real resources, real solutions

This is what the movement looks like.
This is love in action.
We Our Us.

In the heart of Baltimore, a powerful movement is underway, spearheaded by the dedicated members of We-Our-Us and other community organizations that serve youth and under-served community members. Their unwavering commitment to the well-being of Baltimore’s youth is evident in their recent monumental effort: organizing, mentoring, and empowering young people for the youth march and rally focused on ending the city’s pervasive gun violence. This event is a testament to the collective strength of a community determined to create a safer future for its youth and city.

We-Our-Us, a dedicated community organization, continues its mission to make a lasting impact on the Baltimore community by exemplifying its core principles: connecting, protecting, mediating, and messaging. Through We-Our-Us’s unwavering commitment, we have guided boys, men, under-resourced community members, and fragile families toward vital resources and promoted positive and constructive behavior.
